Émile LENOBLE (1876-1939) - France

In 1903, Émile LENOBLE gets to know le grand feu with Ernest CHAPLET in Choisy-le-Roi. His work underwent a Korean or Chinese (song dynasty) and is characterized by pure and simple shapes, with hues like brown, turquoise, ochre or white, in keeping with geometrical decorations, chiseled or "cloisonné", perfectly controled and highly sober. His dark-coloured pieces convey a feeling of fullness and fulfillment.
